THE ACORN'S 'HERON ACT' OUT TODAY, TOUR STARTS THIS WEEK!

PAPER BAG RECORDS HITS UP POP MONTREAL, SEE YOU THERE!
First off – thanks for checking out Paper Bag Records! Next week we’ll be announcing a brand new exciting signing to the label AND with that giving away an all new exclusive EP from that artist to PBR Mailing list members. If you've signed up for the mailing list, on Tuesday October 7th, you’ll be sent an update and a code to download so check your mailbox and tell your friends to sign up if they want in!
THE ACORN

After a hugely successful tour in the UK, the Acorn are back and very excited to release ‘Heron Act’ today digitally in Canada via Paper Bag Digital. Limited physical copies are currently available from the PBR Online Shop or from the band while they hit the road on their upcoming North American tour.

While in the UK, the Acorn gained some great reviews from local media for their live show and album ‘Glory Hope Mountain’. The Acorn kick things off on road with Ohbijou this Saturday in Kingston and will be touring Canada and the US throughout October and November (dates below).

POP Montreal with Paper Bag Records...join us, won't you?

Paper Bag Records will be heading to the ,b>POP Montreal festival this Wednesday and doing it up right. Wednesday October 1st – You Say Party! We Say Die! and Winter Gloves are kicking off the festival with a performance at La Tulipe and then later on in the night Woodhands are holding the Hot Chip after party at the Portuguese Association.
On Friday October 3rd – Paper Bag Records will be hosting a private wristband only kick-butt Afterparty at the Blue Dog Motel with special live performance by Winter Gloves and DJ sets by YSP!WSD! and Montreal native CFCF – BUT the only way to get in is if you have a special Paper Bag wristband for the party. – How do you get the wristband? You’ll have to find one of the 3 of us down at the festival. We’ll be all over the place – but you’re best bet to find us are at some of the shows listed below.

Wednesday October 1st – La Tulipe – Winter Gloves [9PM] / Beast [10PM] You Say Party! We Say Die! [11PM]
Wednesday October 1st – Metropolis – Hot Chip [9PM]
Wednesday October 1st – Portuguese Association – Woodhands + the Knux (Hot Chip After Party) [130AM]
Thursday October 2nd – Club Coda – The Knux [MIDNIGHT]
