WOODHANDS SET TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM, DROPS VIDEO

Dan Werb and Paul Banwatt are all set to release their sophomore album Remorsecapade on January 26 in Canada!

They’ll be hitting the road beginning in February and debuting their brand new live show!
Word on the street is that it involves lasers. Tour dates are listed at the end of this update.

Catch 4 star reviews of Remorsecapade in Eye Weekly and NOW Magazine.

In the coming days, you can catch the guys as musical guests on Q (CBC Radio) on January 29th, and at MTV Live on February 2nd. If you’re at SxSW this year, you can catch the duo at the Rolling Stone Party!

You can pre-order the CD and Limited Edition Vinyl HERE. The vinyl features a two colour, hand-silkscreened sleeve, and was pressed on 180gram vinyl in an extremely limited quantity of 300.

LAURA BARRETT TOURS WITH THE MAGNETIC FIELDS

Laura Barrett will be taking her kalimba on tour, opening for The Magnetic Fields! You can catch her unique charm on a string of 11 dates down the Eastern United States – tour dates and details are listed at the end of this update.

YOU SAY PARTY! WE SAY DIE! RETURNS TO THE US!

The members of You Say Party! We Say Die! probably haven’t slept since their latest album, XXXX was released.

Since finishing up their seven week tour of Canada, they’ve been busy playing dates in Western Canada as well as hitting up radio stations – just recently they played acoustic performances at Sonic 102.9 in Edmonton and X92.9 in Calgary.

They just opened for Phoenix at a sold-out show for the 2010 Cultural Olympiad. If you missed them there, they will be hitting the road yet again, this time all the way across the United States. Check out a listing of tour dates at the end of this update!

Finally – in preparation for the album release in the US on February 9, 2010 – you can view a video for “Dark Days”, directed by David Vandas, HERE. In addition, keep your eyes peeled for the “Laura Palmer’s Prom” single, which will feature remixes by Los Campesinos and Sally Shapiro!

CFCF ON KEXP + KCRW

Recently, CFCF has been receiving airplay on both tastemaking radio stations KEXP (Seattle) and KCRW (LA) – he’s sitting at #2 on the Electronic charts, and #6 on the top 90 charts at KEXP!

ROCK PLAZA CENTRAL TO TOUR NO LONGER

In light of a recent announcement by Chris Eaton of Rock Plaza Central to stop touring, the Toronto Star published THIS ARTICLE detailing what brought the band to this decision.

Their most recent album, “In the moment of our most needing…” on limited edition vinyl is completely sold out, but you can still grab a copy of “Are We Not Horses” on vinyl HERE. As is standard, 300 copies were pressed on 180 gram vinyl, housed in a hand-silk screened sleeve.
