Written and recorded over a three year period at the turn of the twenty-first century, Mucho Cuidado is best described as an experiment in cultural dumpster diving. Making use of field recordings and found sounds, tape loops, tools, toys and instruments salvaged from thrift stores and trash piles, FemBots fashion new sounds from the garbage of the past. Musically and stylistically it's all over the map, jumping from dust bowl ballads to film noir soundtracks to synth-pop rave-ups and everything in between. Mucho Cuidado plays out like a strange and wonderful mixed tape or a radio caught between stations. Mucho Cuidado was released independently in 2001 and has now been re-released by Paper bag Records.
